Native to Nepal, Sil-Timur is part of the culinary culture of Eastern Himalayan region. Not generally known or used outside the region, these dried berries are delightfully citrusy lending an almost heady candied orange-lemon flavour to dishes. The berries together with the leaves are also used in regional folk medicinal recipes.
