One of Amar Khamar's key pillars is to work with farmers to preserve heirloom seeds and ensure access of the farmers to the same. By promoting heirloom seeds, that can be reused each season, the farmers gain independence while preserving nature's wealth.

Farmers being compensated fairly is one of the pillars of our work. But who defines what is fair? The answer is the farmers themselves, via in depth conversations centred around their yields and current market conditions; we follow their lead in our practice of fair pricing and support with prepayments as well as long-term purchase commitments.

All of our products can be traced back to their producers and individual batches, where we not only know each producer personally but also understand the finer details of their production practices.
