Ranna Pujo of Bengal is a tradition dedicated to celebrating the essence of life - food and cooking (i.e. ranna) through worship (pujo).
It is a unique festival where we celebrate life and sustenance, and abstain from cooking during the day. A delicious spread is cooked through the night, which includes panta bhat, and an assortment of fritters, along with mishti, of course! A day honouring food and cooking, which has led to its own culinary traditions, adding to Bengal's rich tapestry of culture and cuisine.
